About

Welcome!

My name is Gordon Witt, and Hockey Embassy is a passion project of mine. Ice Hockey has been a passion of mine since I was a young boy growing up in Canada. When I was seven-years-old, my family emigrated to Australia, where I have lived ever since. Despite living in an environment mostly devoid of ice, let alone ice hockey, the passion remained. I also have a love of writing and a desire to one day become a sports journalist and published author of fiction.

In 2018 I began to satisfy my love of writing and ice hockey by joining Puck77.com as an editor and writer. Sadly, this site has since closed down. I have since worked for OvertimeHeroics.com as an editor and Senior NHL Writer and was a contributor for PuckProse.com, part of the FanSided Network. However, I am now focussing on producing my work via this site. If you have stumbled across this page, welcome! Thank you for your time, I hope you enjoy my articles and dry sense of humour.

Really enjoy reading your reporting Gordon. My wife and I are Canadians who spend 4 months each year escaping our winter for the warm and sunny Perth climate. Our daughter did a uni exchange semester at UWA back in 2006 and when we came to visit we immediately fell in love with the city and the country. Michelle emigrated to OZ after uni graduation, established a management career in research consulting, met and eventually married a great Aussie guy and obtained her Aussie citizenship. She plays for the Perth Inferno in the AWIHL and this is her third year with Team Australia at the World Women’s Championships…Go Australia!
Keep up the outstanding work and good luck with your business.

    1. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and leave some feedback Dan, I greatly appreciate it. Michelle Clark-Crumpton is an incredible player, we are so fortunate to have her playing in and for Australia. It’s a privilege to be able to shine a spotlight on some of the amazing players we have in the AWIHL.
